Wiring diagrams for a GM system

The following are simple, easy to follow diagrams which will enable you to wire your T Bucket. These drawings are for a GM system using a one wire alternator. Study the drawings for a while to give you an idea of where the wires go and why they go where they do. I followed these and did my car. It was my first time doing a car. If I can do it, YOU CAN TOO!

Special thanks for these go to EXJUNK.

Thank you EXJUNK just what I needed.

Glad to see you on, Thomas! Good luck with the wiring.

Thanks for posting the diagrams. I had a short in my car and a blown fuse in my brain. Your diagrams solved both problems instantly.:)

tfeverfred,
Where do I get the distribution panel? Will the electrical supply store have the different colors I will need? I've done some motorcycle looms, this shouldn't be much more complicated. Thanks, Mike

I got my fuse panel from a company called Haywire. I THINK it was about $100, but it's very compact, clearly labeled and perfect for a T. They should have a website.

I got my wires from the auto parts store. They would probably be cheaper at an electrical store, but I'm 5 blocks from my auto parts store.

Nice of Fred to contribute. Still waiting for answers to my questions about whose wiring loom it is, why it has a kill switch in the back, and pics would be really nice.

John

P.S. I think he is going to put new tires on the car ???

You can put a kill switch where ever you like. Mine happens to be in the trunk beside the battery, that way when the trunk lid is locked there is no way to get to the switch and put on a jumper. Besides, my kill switch has a removable operating handle that I can put in my pocket. Nothing is fool proof to a thief, you just have to make it more complicated for him to steal your ride and thus move on to a simpler target. IMHO

Can't wait ti face the DEVIL, again.
