Wondering if anyone is aware of a stretched 1927 roadster body that is being made?

Class Glass is stretched 3" wide, no extra length (is 3" enough, 5" might be better?)

Shadow rods XL metal body (pricey).

Superior makes a morphed 23/27.

I am hearing that the owner of Poli-Form has retired and they are no more.

Stingers in Indy doesn't seem to be in business anymore.

That's all I can find. There are several good 23's, but not 27's. Are you aware of any others?

Sadly the Spirit 27 is smaller that thier 23 XLT, but I have been considering a trip to Mt. Home. (might pack my flyrod too)

At the 2016 NTBA Cajun Regionals there was a guy there with a widened and stretched car. You sat real low in it and it had tons of room. Problem is I lost his card and don't remember his name. Maybe someone else will remember something.

I went and looked at his stuff a couple of years ago. He does a good job and is very personable but it looked to out of proportion for my taste. I wanted the steering wheel to be closer to the dash than his was.

That's not a '26-'27 body that Chief was asking about, it's a '23-'25 style body that has been enlarged.

Jim

Once you start making it wider and longer it kinda throws the 23/27 thing out the window for me. Especially when a lot of people look for a 27 simply for more room. lol

If you check the body that my son made for me you'll see that he made a '26-'27 cowl on my '23-'25 style body thereby gaining 6" more legroom. We also raised the "turtledeck" several inches to closer resemble a '26-'27 style roadster. I sometimes like to say that it is registered as a '25 but was actually a '26 prototype. LOL I really doubt of ole Henry ever made prototypes like they do today.

First ...Thanks to everyone for watching out for me.

I've talked to Okie a couple of times....and he has some projects coming later in the year that may prove interesting. We'll see what develops.

Like Jim says his current stuff is more of a 23-25 style. Thanks for your help guys!

I found a 27 I liked....and it has really good bones

I pick it up later this week...........I'll post more pics once I get it.

Looking forward to the pics!
