Rock Cafe in Stroud Oklahoma

A very small mini cruise was planned and we both watched the weather for several days leading up the outing. Both Jim Robertson and myself were hoping for the best and we got it. It was cloudy but never rained on us. High was in the mid 80's.

We meet at the Rock Cafe which is on the National Register of Historic Places. After an excellent lunch we cruised over to the local park and hung out there for another hour before heading home. I drive 153 miles and Jim drove 161.6 miles.

The video is very entertaining, but maybe a little long. The character Sally Carrea in the movie Cars was inspired by the owner Dawn Welch.

Had a great time Rick. Can't believe we didn't get wet. I'm sure the roadster gods took pitty on us because we both had our better halves with us. And to top it off we convoyed home with a 32 Ford hiboy roadster we happen to run into on the turnpike shortly after leaving Stroud. Stayed together until we got to the Claremore exit. Bout 70 miles total. All in all a great lil trip.2019-09-30 19.00.01.jpg

Wow, I didn't know there was Roadster Gods!!! I'm going to church next week, hopefully the roof does not fall in !!!

Just checked my milage. Got 13.4 going and 14.05 coming home. We had a south wind @ 20+ both ways as we headed E&W for the trip. I'm sure the wife would've appreciated calmer conditions but IDGAS. I was harmonious and felt as 1 w/my machine. Plus we stayed dry. Huge plus. :roflmao::roflmao:

I’m so looking forward to cruising with you guys. With the weather cooling off I’m in the shop more and making good progress. Rick will be cracking the whip Wednesday.

Hey! . . .

Thanks for posting the great pics and making the rest of us so damn jealous of such an excellent adventure.

Rick started it. Just saying. :p:whistling: In all honesty you are where I like to be. Love seeing my creation come together. Nothing like that first drive.
