Need Ideas for Building a Tonneau Cover

I am looking for ideas to build a tonneau cover for my 23T pickup bed. I would like it to be able to open and close and be lockable. Please attach pictures of what you have done or seen.

0.100 inch aluminum diamond plate. I had it sheared and bent at the place I bought it from. TIG'ed welded the corners. I have a 3/4 inch angle for reinforcement at the hinge joint. I have 4 flat straps welded to the forward piece and they secure it to body. Got the hinges and latch from speedway.

Most tonneau covers are fabric/vinyl material. If that is what you are talking about, just look at one installed on a pickup truck and measure for the Bucket.
Swampdog has a self fabricated one that looks good and is cheap and easy.

Depending on your taste, style of build, budget, there are many options. I think having one constructed out of material matching the interior would be cool, ie: leather. It wouldn’t be very weather resistant though.

These buckets aren’t much weather resistant anyway! You don’t usually drive them in the pouring rain.

If you drive it much you will drive in the rain someday...……..LOL...….
