Hot Rod Bucket

With the tank outlet at the bottom, wouldn't a more reliable connecting filter with a shutoff valve be a safer alternative . . . .

My tank outlet connection is on the bottom like yours, so I went with this option with AN connections..

Post a pic of yours if you get a chance Girl.

I won't be ready for this years Bucket fest in Kentuc, but I will be ready for the Tennessee Fall Rod Run in September. Since my battery is under the passenger seat, I need access for a trickle charger so I put the external posts just hidden under the back of the bucket. Pretty easy access and invisible from behind.

I built the dash finally. Only the instruments are not wired yet, everything else is done. Horn honks, signals work, lights work, battery charges, pretty basic.

I put fiberglass floor pans right under the seats to seal the cab. The real floor pan is a big piece of aluminum that you can see in this pic. Body still comes on and off pretty easy.

This is what my seats look like and I plan to match that same diamond pattern all the way around the inside of the bucket. The interior should be done by Sept 1. Now I am on a timeline. I already booked my room right on the strip in Pigeon Forge. I was there last year for the Shades of the Past run and they tell me that was the "little" run and it looked to me like at least 1000 cars. the following weekend "Fall Rod Run" is even bigger I am told.

Good photos of your progress. I have done lots of flame paint jobs when I had my cycle shop. Not hard to do, but always look your masking job over good for shapes.

Thanks much. I have laid out stripes and simple designs back when I was painting bikes but never anything as elaborate as flames. Leave that Oklahoma heat for a bit and come out to Tennessee, you can help me paint. : )

What Spanky ain't saying is the bucket is still taller than him...........LOL.....

Height has something to do with it. Age has a little more to do with it! The older you get, the less agile you are. Some years ago, my father in law was visiting. My wife suggested I take him for a ride in my bucket. He was maybe 70ish years old. I had to get the step stool out so he could get his leg up and over to get in. No doors!
Today, I'm that age and I'm having the same problem getting in. I removed the top at allow easier access. That was just one more hurdle to overcome. I refuse to use the step stool!! At least for now.

OK here you go I will tell you about a 78 year old with no doors.......Now I am still 6' 3" with some long legs and I still have to help my old legs with my hands. But I have to give Spanky a bad time or he would not like me any more......LOL..I made a Sedan for the doors & windows so I guess I will shut up....
