What is everybody doing?

Been working on my Model A, doing first winter tweaks, and getting ready for a local car show this weekend.
This show is 49 years old, invitation only and claim to never have the same cars twice. Not very big, only about
50 cars, but always some nice stuff there. I don't have a trailer, so hoping for a good weather window Friday to drive
the 20 miles to the show.

I’m planning my frame and talking to a guy about swapping my ‘65 Riviera for a Spirit C cab. I think I have lost my mind! Lol

Well, by the time I got the antigravity battery out, found a way to connect it to the 12v compressor and prize the valve cap off, I must say I had to take a little nap.

Good news is the Topolino Altered will be back on the strip this year......so it may be that I will try and squeeze my Merlot 'enhanced' frame back into the 5 layer fire suit, that last experienced me slipping in to it around 12 years ago:sneaky:.

What's the chances???
Getting in maybe, getting out more challenging... the shoulders get me every time.

Hey, it was 75 degrees in the Ohio valley yesterday! The Valkyrie still runs good, still needs tires installed that I bought this time last year... as for the bucket, it's so buried in the shop right now... I need to get busy on it, too many other projects with remodeling the house, building fence, improving the rentals, keeping the kids mobile and playing with trucks. I need cloned! I did procure a home made log splitter that has a very interesting axle and related components. Look to be about right for a bucket build. I'll post pics when I am in the same space with it and my iPad (camera).

Wow, Dude! That is waaay cool!!! You could've traded it for 3 T-buckets, but you only need one to have mega-fun. Keep the faith!!!

I've been trying to get laptop working. When I'm typing it only works 1/2 the time. Whn I' tpig it onl ors 12 the ti I think you get the idea. Short on cash. Not sure if I want to take it apart and look at the key pad.

I recently refurbished my old laptop. Keyboard, charging port, charger cord, and a battery. eBay was a lifesaver. I actually have a new laptop, but I detest Microsoft ten, so I opted to fix the old one so I don't have to rent all of the software that I already bought....several times or watch fifteen commercials every time I launch a program, excuse me, app... grrr! Good luck! Getting the case apart and back together without breaking the plastic clips is the hard part.

I still run xp on 2 of my desktops. Have one with 10 and my laptop has 10 also. I detest 10 more than you do Fletch. I did manage to turn off all the update on 10 after about a zillion tries. The laptop is my next disliked item. I use it for reading only.

Linux Mint. Seriously, it looks and feels like XP but runs as fast as anything, no viruses, and everything is free. Yes, there is a learning curve, but it isn't that steep and at some point you had to learn Windows as well. When I first started with Linux I put it on my computer along with XP. I would use XP for everything, and maybe once a week mess with Linux for a half hour or so. I might try to type a letter, check email or play with a spreadsheet. Gradually I became as familiar with Linux as I was with XP and I just started using Linux in place of Windows. Having both still on the computer was a bit of a mental cushion, but after about a year of never using it I just took Windows off completely. On my wife's computer I simply took off Windows and replaced it with Mint and let her sink or swim. She asked a lot of questions, but really had no problem with the change. I apologize for hijacking this thread.

Got the new key pad today and it is in and working fine. Will be posting more now that I can type without hitting the key 15 times before a letter pops up. Time to eat will chat later. Have a nice evening.

I'm getting panicky myself, because I discovered a crack in my 350 Chevy block! :eek::thumbsdown: So I'm looking at an engine pull/replace, and time's a-wastin' . . .

Turns out I was wrong; pulled the engine, replaced a head gasket and a freeze plug, and all looks good. Drove around the block . . . no leaks! :D:p:thumbsup:

Sounds like easy fix Spanky [good to hear] 51 degrees yesterday got ''T'' out short ride . [5 +-] miles. Run good. Ready for summer.

Does it look like this one?
