Windshield braces

I have a pair of hollow tubing windshield supports (stainless) AND a pair
of solid (stainless) which one would be the strongest to use?

I would suggest its more about the ends. Thread engagement, type of clevis etc. These are the weak points, not the tube (unless its very very very thin walled) that will dictate the strength.

If you are asking which is stronger, tube or solid the answer is two part. If you have two pieces of round stock that are of the same metal, have the same length and same DIAMETER the solid will be stronger. If they are the same metal, same length and same WEIGHT the tube will be stronger.

Lighter because not as much material. For a windshield the stress is in tension so tube is fine. You could even use rope!

Stainless cable with some ends crimped on. One end with an eyelet and the other end with a threaded stud put on.

Anyway I have 2 sets. The one on the bucket is tubing and the other one is s.s. rod. I'll sell that one, has nice ends
on it .

Not using them. Tied the screen into the body. There is a thread somewhere.
