Time to wire

JetMech727, if you dont mind I have a few questions. What grommet kit did you use for the wires? What did you do to the ends of the braided line that covers the headlight wires? And how did you make the braided line that covers the throttle cable? I appreciate any help that is offered. Thank you.

Hi Kyle, hope this helps. No grommet kit was used. My local small town Ace Hardware has an excellent selection of grommets I was able to pick and choose from. Heat shrink tube was used on the ends of the braid to tidy them up. Throttle cable is just a standard Lokar set up. I usually drill the frame grommet holes a couple sizes over to allow the grommet a little wiggle room. This allows easy grommet insertion after wires are pulled through it and keeps it from getting pinched by tight wiring causing them to get cut and fail. And hole deburr inside & out is a must.

Due to being a flight engineer I had to memorize the wiring of each aircraft i flew 727.200, 747.200 ect , so wiring is easy for me just do one thing at a time and it will work out .

Get yours figured out and then you will do mine right! Is that really on the bench? In the summer time? Lol
Yeah, it has all those connectors so I can just unplug it and go indoors. Once it used to look very tidy, but I added stuff and now need to replace a few boxes that went bad, so it was back to the bench.

Indy is just down the road from you, and he told me he would be delighted to help you.:rolleyes:

I used to enjoy wiring, figuring out how to make things work where they weren’t designed to be, etc but not so much these days. I lost vision in my left eye due to an accident and my right is diminished from radiation treatment for cancer in the orbital socket so schematics and such are very challenging. Take your time, get organized, make notes, labels, etc...
 
Both of you were correct it’s for the factory driving lights. I checked the factory spotlight wiring and their is a male round pin that goes to a green and white wire. It’s now time to cut the wire out of the car
