Birth of Long John

Looking good John!

After a looong day yesterday all I wanted was to spend the day in my recliner and let my back and legs quit hurting. Indycars was to be here at 9:30 to help and I always enjoy his visit so I suffered through. We got the rear half of the frame built and squared up to within 1/8” so we called it good. He was such a inspiration and got me over a huge hurtle. Wanted to publicly thank him and at the same time brag on progress of my project. Thank you my friend I will get the frame welded together and get some pictures for the folks on the site.

I understand first hand about living with severe pain. You are lucky to have a friend for inspiration. One of the things that life and time has robbed me of. Keep pushin, you will get there.

That is a blessing for sure. He even swept the shop while I was welding! Friends like that are hard to find. It’s 4:30 am and I’m thinking about going out to the shop. Motivation is a good thing! Lol

Think you might could send a little my way . . . lol

It's just weird how much different it feels inside the house/shop when the hurricane shutters are up and it's dark and no fresh air moving . . . totally kills all incentive to be productive.

Fortunately, only another couple/three weeks until we're past the peak period of hurricane season and I can take a few panels down and open some windows to some fresh air and daylight. After thanksgiving, I can take the rest down . . . at least until next year's first storm starts heading my way . . .

You are much too kind with your words!!! Beside I couldn't stand all the dirt, I had to sweep, my personality required it. LOL!

He even swept the shop

Interesting you mention that. I start my day by vacuuming the garage floor before I start my piddling. Especially in the area of the bug light where it has done it's job the night before. I even vacuumed the garage lighting today as my wife pointed out the cob webs yesterday. :roflmao:

I've had the wife shampoo the carpets in the garage. We must of been brothers from
a different mother!

If that was the case you would've been the more reserved liked by his parents brother. I on the other hand would've been the thorn in their side always in trouble brother. :( I turned out ok tho.o_O

It's nice when the better half takes interest.:thumbsup:

I’m trying hard to do better. I’ll go through cycles when I clean up at the end of the day for a while but go back. Lately I have worked until I was to tired to do it. Cooler weather works better for me if humidity isn’t to high. I have been a bum today but going out now. It’s about 4:30. Goal is to get two halves together.
