My ProjecTee

I believe I purchased mine from Speedway Motors. Mine is for a 2" o.d steering column. There is one available for 2 1/4 " column also.

I made my own from a wide band muffler clamp with 2 L brackets welded on each side after I had my angle figured out. Screwed to firewall with 3/4" long wood screws. I have a piece of 3/4" plywood bondoed and fiber glassed to the inside of the body firewall.

The one in picture looks like a TP piece. I know they also had the ones that went into the floor.

Good idea. I forked over big bucks for one of the aluminum ball socket swivel type. Considering the fact that I had a column, shortened it myself, etc... I ended up spending over five bills on my column parts, between the drop, knobs n levers, mount, u joints, steering wheel adapter, then there was the steering wheel. It it a very important piece of my puzzle... had to be exactly as it turned out to workout. It tilts, telescopes, houses most controls, etc.... a big boy body would have simplified life tremendously. Live and learn!

It may take a while to get that photo. After reading my weather bug app , I tarped my project. Looks like rain ( every day ) for the next 2 weeks.

I may have a weather break this Thursday 12-5-19. I'm going to graft a 1967 Chevelle auto brake pedal to my RPM firewall mounted brake pedal assembly.

Here's some photos of the 67 Chevelle auto brake pedal :s-l1600.jpg s-l16001.jpg s-l16002.jpg I need the bends in the Chevelle brake pedal to maneuver around my steering column.

I'm also working on the brake pedal mods. I grafted a brake pedal arm form a 67 Chevelle to R.P.Ms firewall mounted brake assembly. I have another brake pedal from a 72 impala. I'll remove the chevelles pedal pad & graft on the impalas pedal pad ( the impala has a wider pedal pad ). I needed the arm portion from the chevelles assembly. It has some much needed bends.

I angle grind the 2 pieces that are going to be butted together ( creating a V ) & use a 220 welder to fuse the 2 pieces together. I've modified brake pedals , gas pedals , emergency brake handles and shifting levers in the past. Regardless of my past experiences , I still have a lot to learn. I come from a humble background ; my father was from Arkansas , my mother was from Oklahoma & I was born in Porum Oklahoma. On my fathers side are auto mechanics & my mothers side are Baptist ministers. I have a twin brother named Ronny. There were 8 children in my family ( ate lots of beans n taters ) . YUM ! YUM ! Still lov'em.

I lived near there in Canadian, Oklahoma for one school year as a kid. Very poor part of Oklahoma. No work but good people.

The impalas pedal is supposed to arrive tomorrow 12-10-19 in the afternoon. So , today I worked on the hood scoop for my 370z. I started the scoop about 2 weeks ago.

Here's some photos of the hood scoop I purchased from ebay. I made a base plate for the hood scoop by using the 370zs hood for my form. I wanted the form to follow the hoods contours.duraflex hood scoop a.jpg duraflex hood scoop b.jpg duraflex hood scoop c.jpg I glassed the hood scoop to my newly formed base plate.duraflex hood scoop d.jpg

Here are some photos :DSCN0769.JPG DSCN0770.JPG DSCN0771.JPG My brake pedal should arrive tomorrow. When it arrives i'll resume my work on my t bucket. I still have to add a piece to the Chevelles brake arm ( has to be about an inch longer ). Then i'll remove the Chevelles brake pedal & add the Impalas brake pedal.
