Hello
I have been tossing around this in my mind for weeks. I am going to build one. Sona little background 53 with 2 teen girls single dad so broke. Now that being said I owned a cab company and was magic at taking a $500 car and turning it into a cab that will run for 500,000 miles.
So reading up and trying to figure out best way. I miss my box chevys so i want old school 350 with 350 trans. Figure maybe older pick up would be a good donor. I want to build something to drive not a trailer queen. Just clean simple and dependable. Welding is no problem nor is any paint or bodywork. Worked on enough cars and boats so engine glass work etc doesn't phase me but high dollar items do.
So what advice i need is basically what way to go about it. I haven't seen one yet i don't like. So i guess what body and chassis design is affordable and proven would be the first step.

Welcome to the T Bucket world, You will enjoy it I'm sure...….Now the first thing I would suggest decide on what Body you would like to have then buy it before you get any building done. The next would find that donor car/truck you can find and start building...…...Have Fun....

Welcome from St Louis, CC. There's a lot to like about these little cars, and if you're patient and resourceful you can easily build one for under $10,000. Mine started with a frame and body from Spirit Cars, and went from there. Took awhile, but it's been worth it. Still grin every time I drive it!

Welcome from South Florida where the Iguanas are falling out of the trees during this cold snap...down to 40. :D
Taste just like chicken.

Hello & welcome.
I'm in Waterford, MI. I''m a Ford guy like Butch27; but my brother's a Chevy guy. I'm slightly ahead of you build wise. I have a 2nd home in Tennessee, about 15 miles from RPM (one of the sites sponsor); if you need anything from them, let me know, I may be able to save the shipping cost.

By the way, where are you located, city wise?
