The Yeti's 27 T Build

If you're planning on boosting, wouldn't it be preferable to have another half a thousandth to a thousandth clearance on the bearings with a high volume pump?

I'm not am LS guru, but all the blower motors I've been a part of, had a bit more bearing clearance than a normally aspirated equivalent.

These LS engines like tight oil clearances.

They are known to hold up to 800hp on stock bottom ends by just opening piston ring gap to .030".

I won't be pushing that kind of HP though. No way it'll put it to the ground.

Picked up rear wheels lastnight. A set of old 70s slot mags. 11.5" wide. Tires are shot but good for mock up.

Carnac sez: "I see lots of polishing in your future!"

PS - I, too, am a fan of low-mount alternators.

Shoot IG it will buff right out..........lol........

Nice. Hopefully you won’t have any space issues or conflicts with steering components. Some are pretty tight between the frame rails.

I'm stretching and widening the body so ill have wider than normal frame rails. I'm most likely going to be running cowl steering also.

Visited Dave and Ed's swap meet yesterday.

Got a fiberglass 32 grill shell.

Got another 1930 ford axle that's in great shape compared to my original one.

Also picked up some 38-39 tail lights.

I like your style! Looks good on a T. Mine is chopped 4", and has the Speedway grill insert (pricey ). What will you use for an insert, and will you chop it?

I'll be making a mesh grill insert for it. I like the look and its budget friendly.

I'll have to wait until the body is mounted on the frame to see if it will need chopped. I do believe it will need to be so it sits level with top of cowl
