My ProjecTee

These headlight lenses will be installed inside the cab ( interior lights ). When you open the doors , they will light up the car's interior. When you close the doors , they will turn off. Just like a dome light . They will be installed on the interior sides of my hardtop.

In that case, I think tinting them would be a definite plus to help them stand out. What do you think?

I will test them before installing them. Many thanks to everyone who has alerted me to this potential problem.

I didn't like the dark smoke tint so i continued searching until i found the light smoke tint. I plan to use a light gray vinyl upholstery to match my 2 boat seats.

s-l1600A.jpg s-l1600B.jpg SS SPRINT STYLE HEADERS..jpg I was going to toss these until the idea , " MAN CAVE " leapt out of my memory storage ( brain ). Here's the new headers i ordered yesterday 2-26-21.

I ordered these retainer clips from ebay. Everything else was ordered from headwinds. Couldn't complete the headlight conversion without the retainer clips. Headwinds said the clips were unavailable & didn't know when they would be available. Headwinds said other sellers had them & to do a little searching. I lucked out & found them on Es-l500.jpg -bay. They've been ordered & are being shipped .

They have a stainless look to them. Are the ss or chrome? I have ss on one of my cars and it is harder to keep looking good than is chrome.

If they're chrome, here's a tip: spray the inside of the tubes near the flange with high temp ceramic paint (available at AutoZone), and cure it per the directions on the can. That's what I did, and no bluing yet!

The headers are stainless steel. I'm not concerned about the heat discoloration. The discoloration may add to the creepiness of my project " KREEPY THANGS ".

DSCN1124.JPG DSCN1123.JPG I removed the white ropes attached to my rusty old headers & replaced then with steel braces ( brackets ). Had to reposition my door hinge on my driver's door ( widening & modification task ). I'm altering a passenger's door kit to work on the driver's side. Things are moving right along.DSCN1119.JPG DSCN1120.JPG DSCN1121.JPG
