In that case, I think tinting them would be a definite plus to help them stand out. What do you think?

I didn't like the dark smoke tint so i continued searching until i found the light smoke tint. I plan to use a light gray vinyl upholstery to match my 2 boat seats.

I ordered these retainer clips from ebay. Everything else was ordered from headwinds. Couldn't complete the headlight conversion without the retainer clips. Headwinds said the clips were unavailable & didn't know when they would be available. Headwinds said other sellers had them & to do a little searching. I lucked out & found them on E

-bay. They've been ordered & are being shipped .

The new headers are supposed to arrive today 3-3-21. They were purchased from a seller in California.

They have a stainless look to them. Are the ss or chrome? I have ss on one of my cars and it is harder to keep looking good than is chrome.

If they're chrome, here's a tip: spray the inside of the tubes near the flange with high temp ceramic paint (available at AutoZone), and cure it per the directions on the can. That's what I did, and no bluing yet!

The headers are stainless steel. I'm not concerned about the heat discoloration. The discoloration may add to the creepiness of my project " KREEPY THANGS ".

I removed the white ropes attached to my rusty old headers & replaced then with steel braces ( brackets ). Had to reposition my door hinge on my driver's door ( widening & modification task ). I'm altering a passenger's door kit to work on the driver's side. Things are moving right along.

Some photos of my form for my door latch pocket ( recess) :

The form is made from m.d.f ( medium density fiberboard ). I sprayed primer over it to soak into the m.d.f.

I used a cereal box to make my pattern ( template ). The inked line beside the hole is my next template for the top piece of fiberglass ( the cap that will cover the exposed form ).
