New member, considering building a T

Hello All,

I'm considering building a T once I retire in about 1 1/2 years. Doing some research and I see a lot of information here. I'm sure I will have a few, if not more, questions. Looking forward to reading and poking around here.

Regards,
Poppy

Hello, Poppy! Welcome aboard. Do you have a "vision" of what type build you will pursue? There are lots of variations on the T-theme . . .

Do yourself a favor. If you have never built anything requiring welding ,design skills etc buy a kit where all that stuff is done. I have been doing it for 50years and when you are old it sure is hard to do when you have the skills (in some cases ( HAD ) it will avoid an endless chore. Another option is buy a stalled project or complete running car. Driving is way more fun than building.

I'm with ORF and Bill on this one. Age crept up on me quickly. I finished my build a mere seven years ago (it took me fifteen from start to finish!), and I doubt if I could finish it today! At least not without a lot of help.
