    What body do I have?

Thanks @LongJohn The new bed is from Speedway and seems to line up fairly well. I have a bow kit coming from Speedway as well so hoping that it will fit without too much modification. The frame and suspension that were on the car are definitely handmade. If you look close you can see the...

    Web site closing. . .

I have not been on here for about a year but just came back as we are focused on getting my bucket all dialed in. I know the value of this site so if you guys can keep it going I will throw in $200 and then do not mind ongoing annual contributions as well. PS I do not always have time to check...

    What body do I have?

Good evening all, I bought my bucket on Bring-A-Trailer just over a year ago. It is a great looking car but it had some major wiring issues and a few safety / brake related items. I had a local guy (who works out of his garage) spend some time with it and sadly that just made things worse . ...

Upgrade list on my "new to me" bucket

That is about how mine looked before we started the rewire. I should have pics by tomorrow of the new wiring. I am hoping it is neat and organized. I do not have the patience to do wiring and have it all organized, but I love how it looks. I have learned to leave wiring jobs to someone else...

Upgrade list on my "new to me" bucket

Did you need to put in a new steering box or was it just a column swap? My wiring harness was a complete mess so my guy started with a brand new fuse box and then rewired the whole car himself rather than purchasing one of the premade wiring harnesses. It will be nice knowing I do not have to...

Upgrade list on my "new to me" bucket

Thank you sir! Safety first, reliability second, and then it is all about fun after that. I am looking forward to doing the NTBA Toughest T 1,000 mile challenge with my fiance and I need to make sure the car is safe and will get us all the way through the trip.

Upgrade list on my "new to me" bucket

Good morning all, In another post I had mentioned the lights all being shorted out in my new-to-me bucket. I have a friend with a bucket here in Vegas and he introduced me to his buddy that had redone the electrical on his bucket when he acquired his. I called this gentlemen, Jason, and he...

Looking for a trailer to pull behind the bucket

Thanks for all the replies. As I started to think about the idea I realized I can use one of the small hitch mount cargo carriers to accomplish this. This pic is a good example but I may look for something a bit smaller as all I really need to carry is a couple plastic fuel jugs (in the...

Looking for a trailer to pull behind the bucket

We are planning to do a few road trips in the bucket and I have realized that a small trailer would be excellent to carry some extra fuel as well as a couple bags with clothes etc. Do any of you have a source you can recommend for a good small trailer we can pull on the highway. Our concern is...

    Looking for whole new harness

The odometer shows just over 5,400 miles. I can not state if this is accurate or not as I just acquired the car. He is going to go over everything with a fine tooth comb and make sure all is good before we take it back out on the road. Yes, once the carpet came up he found a ton of holes in...

    Looking for whole new harness

Sorry for my delay in replying. We were out of town over the weekend. The mounts for the front suspension arms (these are tabs welded to the frame under the body with the long arms extending up to the front. The cracks are very small but my fabricator wants to grind the paint off and check...

    Looking for whole new harness

I am just going to scrap the whole existing harness and install a new one. A friend already has wired another local bucket and it came out really nice. He is also going to do a few other minor "touch up" items to get the car into shape. I dropped it off yesterday and we leave for a week on...

    Looking for whole new harness

I would think so, it is weird to not have one that I can find. I spent all day clearing stuff in the garage and never put it up on the lift. I will get under it tomorrow and see what I can find.

    Looking for whole new harness

Great point! Thank you! I have been searching for a fuse panel but there may not be one. My gut tells me that starting over will be the best solution. That way I will have way more confidence in the whole system. I also really like neat and organized wiring. I am not happy with my gauges...
