    Removing Brake Booster Options

I haven't had a chance to drive it (dead battery and a bunch of clutter blocking the driveway!) but I did pull off the spring to see how much free play is in the push rod, I can move it freely back and forth about 3/16" in and out of the power booster before I felt resistance pushing into the...

    Removing Brake Booster Options

The brake pedal/MC rod is adjustable, I do have a return spring, and the brake light switch is a NC push button the pedal pushes against when not stepping on the pedal. What makes me think its the booster is when I shut the engine off, the brake lights stay on and I can pull up on the pedal to...

    Removing Brake Booster Options

Somethings going on where the brake pedal won't fully return when I let off the brakes (only with the engine running) so the brake lights stay on, I have to manual pull the pedal all the way up ~1/4" or so. I'v checked to make sure the rod isn't binding on anything and greased it at the MC and...

    Removing Brake Booster Options

Hello, I have a 27 spirit frame kit under my bucket and I want to get rid of the power brakes. The bucket is "finished" (are they really ever!!) so I am looking for options that doesn't move the MC because of the cut out in the body floor for it and doesn't require welding to the frame since...

    Carpet Adhesive

I used weld wood adhesive from lowes/home depot. Just brush it on both surfaces (floor boards and underside of carpet), let it get tacky, then stick the carpet down. http://www.homedepot.com/p/t/203661572?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=weldwood&storeId=10051&N=5yc1v&R=203661572#.UT-4PaVQZMI

    Steering Stabilizer Clamps

Some Pics, I had to enlarge the clamps to fit over the rods and added some rubber lining to protect the chrome. Since the pics, iv trimmed the rubber so it doesn't stick out.

    Brake Problem

A couple of more questions/thoughts: How far is the m/c plunger going in to get the 600#, is the pedal to the floor or is it only moving a little bit? If its only moving a little bit, is it possible to temporarily clamp something to the brake pedal arm thats higher then the brake pedal pad...

    Brake Problem

Are you measuring the pedal ratio correctly? I was having the same problem with my spirit set up (disc/drum, corvette m/c) and after checking over everything I found the pedal ratio was only about 3.5 - 1. I drilled another hole closer to the pivot point for the m/c pushrod and was able to get...

    Steering Stabilizer Clamps

Well I got it on and drove it around a bit. I have to agree with Don, it really makes a differnece. I drove over some really bad roads and RR crossings and it felt like the car wanted to keep tracking straight instead of wanting to follow the big cracks

    Steering Stabilizer Clamps

Don, Good to hear someone say the stabilizer helps! Is it important to have the stabilizer clamped center on the steering tie rod? If I center the travel of the stabilizer, it will clamp about 1" off center with my steering link. Its possible I can clamp it to the center and I still have enough...

    Steering Stabilizer Clamps

I'm giving a Socal Hot Rods steering stabilizer a shot and the clamps are little small for my radius rods so I want to find bigger ones. Anyone know what these types of clamps are called and who sells them? I tired mcmaster carr and google searching (tubing clamps, pipe clamps, conduit clamps)...

    Power to manual brakes conversion

After careful planning, I ordered my spirit frame with power brakes without thinking that my engine only sucks about 9-10" of vacuum. My brakes work, it seems a little harder then it should to be able to lock up the tire and when I shut the engine down, the brake pedal will not return all the...

    Front shock mount idea

I'm not a shock expert, but I have heard the straighter the shock is vertically, the better it works. I remember reading some place that the shocks loses most of its ability to absorb if mounted more then 15 degrees. I dont know what angle you were planing on mounting them, but your pic shows...

    EFI in a t bucket?

Are those blue pieces vents? How do they work? One is the pick up tube, one is a return and one is a roll over valve/vent. All three are -8 AN fittings. The blue pieces are reducers to -6 except one is just a cap. When I was running a carb, the pick up went to the fuel pump and the vent had a...

    EFI in a t bucket?

The o2 sensor threads are M18 - 1.5 straight threads. It seals using a washer.

    EFI in a t bucket?

Here are some progress pics while I figure out my O2 dilemma. I decided to go with an intank fuel pump instead of the external mount one the powerjection kit came with, I had to cut out a 4 1/2" mounting hole in the tank: Trunk back together, fuel fill is behind trap door: Than I ran...
