    overheating problem

I have Vortec heads on my bucket sbc and have no cooling problem at all. I also have an aluminum radiator. I have to run a thermostat or the engine wouldn't get over 140. I have no external bypass.

    overheating problem

When you changed heads, you also had to pull the intake manifold which also means you pulled the distributor. I bet when re-installing the distributor you missed the mark by one or more teeth or possibly 180 degrees, and it will run 180 out but not very good. I would recheck the whole timing...

I used the right firing order to wire the engine, but not thinking I used Ford cylinder locations on a GM engine. Ford is " 1,2,3,4 on one side & 5,6,7,8 on the...

    Seat belts

I agree with Mike, I have belts in mine. I also have an original 1930 Model A Ford we use in parades and club functions, thinking of putting belts in it and the only thing possible would be slow speed accident.

    T Bucket Build Thread

Most Buckets with an S-10 rear use a 3.5 inch backspace, but not all do. A good rule of thumb is you should be able to put your fist between the body and inflated tire.

new, dumb and some scary handling

I would start with installing a panhard rod in the front and if there is not one in the rear - Do that also. Then see what you have - Tracking Alignment etc.
