    27 T build

I have a soft spot for 27's with a turtle deck! When you build those cars with a cut down 32 rad. shell I think that they are some of the best looking rods ever!

I have a set that sounds like they are about like what you are dealing with. I have elected to have them ceramic (sp) coated. I just have to pick between black, white ,or silver!

    Inexpensive sttering box?

I am new to buckets but at my family's shop, we have been putting Mopar boxes in a lot of model A's. they are strong, plentiful, and good looking. They don't have to be reversed (we do almost all cowl steering). They should work fine in a bucket.

Help ID This FG Body Manufacturer

Yup, That is a race body. The 27 with the molded in fenders are popular bodies. The guys at the Speedway fiberglass shop or the folks at Polyform fiberglass can proly give ya a lead as to who would have a mold close to where you are at. They make race bodies pretty thin, so if you were to want...

    Rear View Mirror

I have been in a car that had a RV mirror that was made for a ski boat and it was held on with thumbscrews. This thing was very well made and I am going to get one soon.

    Cowl Steering mount

We use Mopar boxes for cowl steering (they are strong, plentyful, and don't have to be reversed). That being said, ALLWAYS mount the subframe to the frame! There is a lot of info on the HAMB forum that concerns cowl steering and some of the best builders of traditional rods in the world have...

What radiator are you using ?

Your post is very timeley, Go back on the portal a few threads back and look at the thread that Wellbaum's started about radiator shells. There are some good tips on rad. selection that I bet that you will like!

Stainless Steel and Brass Grille Shells

If you make it as nice as everything else that comes out of your shop, then I am sure that it will be something that would catch on! I am on my first build (for a T) and am learning good things on this board every day. I thought that the Mustang radiator was the only budget choice, but now I...

    Miss Fortune update!

Hey Fred! Yep, It's me, Swimeasy, now also on this board. I like both breathers, so I would say run them both and swith them out as ya feel like it. I have always done that with valve covers and breathers and sometimes change plug wires and things like that. I just pollish-clean the stored parts...

    A v-12

Every once in a while ya here of one out there. I wonder if they are just as bad about cracking as like a 8ba or a 59a. Even if they are, I think I would take my chances with one of those babys!!!

    Powerglide or TH350?

I see your point, Shawn. I guess that I was just trying to point out that the glide is most likely worth keeping around, in fact if it had a short tail shaft and you lived hear you, I would be trying so swap ya out of it to have a spare for my front engine digger!
