    Vehicle weight

I weighed mine on a truck scale. With about 12 gallons of gas it weighed 2000 lbs with 1140 lbs on the rear and 860 lbs on the front. That is without me in it.

    EGR and title/registration questions

Here in Minnesota it won't matter what you use for an intake or carb. You can do whatever works out best for you.

    Quiet as possible exhaust

I saw pictures of Ted Brown's car once that had mufflers on it. It still looked great and I'm sure it quieted it down a lot. I've been thinking of putting a set of chamber mufflers on my car for the same reason. I did find a picture of Ted's car.

    Getting to the body

I welded mounts to the frame and use 3" x 1/8" thick washers on top. If they pull through then I'll have bigger problems other than that. I have seen pictures of crashes where the body came loose from the frame. You have to face the fact that any crash in these cars may not turn out good, but...

Interested in checking out others interiors

With mine the seat back is flat but I have space back there for storage. I have a full set of wrenches, some wiring and connectors, a tarp, bungee cords and a couple of ponchos. Under the seat is the fuse panel, phone charger outlet, a quart of oil and trans fluid, a pouch with sun block...

    My car on Wagner website

I just bought one of those though I haven't had a chance to put it on the car yet. I'm hoping it will take care of my oil usage problems. I've tried about a dozen factory pcv valves and none of them have worked. They all let oil by and into the engine even after welding a baffle inside the...

    Wintertime regimen

I'm in northern Minnesota and other than putting the car on jack stands to keep the tires off the cold concrete I don't do anything. The battery came out of a car my daughter scrapped and is probably 12 or 13 years old and have never had a problem starting the car in the spring. About four...

    Lets start with front suspension

I think even if you were to paint the shocks and tie rod black they would blend in a little better, but it is one nice looking little hot rod. You could always try something different in the future but drive it the way it is. When you step on that loud pedal you kind of forget about most other...

    Gas prices

It's not so bad here, when I gassed up yesterday it was $3.079 down from about $3.179 a couple of weeks ago.

    Winter

It would be nice to be any where but here, it's -22 degrees now with a windchill of about -37 degrees. It's supposed to be a low of -27 Friday and Saturday nights. That's warm here, International Falls in far north Minnesota is supposed to have a low of -36 degrees tonight. Winter sucks.

    Fuel leak question

When I first got my car running I had the same issue. What I found was a factory flaw in the needle seat which allowed gas to leak by dumping gas into the manifold and yes it can make the garage smell. Even brand new parts can be bad. I also had a secondary problem with the fuel percolating...

    Speedway Turn Signal Switch

When I put LED taillights on my car the front blinkers didn't have enough resistance to make everything work so I went to O'Reilly auto parts and got a flasher that was supposed to work with LED's but no luck. I brought that back and got this from Jeg's and everything worked fine after that...

    Seat Foam

2" for the seat back sounds about right. The bottom I think will depend on how you sit in the car and how big you are. I think if you have a longer T body and can distribute your weight between your legs and your butt and you don't weigh all that much 3" would be alright. I have a short T...

    Small Battery Recommendations

About the time I was looking for a battery my daughter was scrapping out a Dodge Intrepid. The battery in that was a few years old then the car sat for a couple of years but I have it in my car now. It's been in there about 5 years now and sits in it all winter and starts the car every spring...

    T-Buckets

I'm no professional by any means but I would venture to say that as long as it has a T body (bucket) anything else you put along with it to make it go down the road constitutes it as a T bucket. Safety is #1, everything else is up to personal interpretation. You just don't want to have too...

'66 chevy van front axle, rear axle and entire braking system. Nice thing is you can get parts pretty much anywhere.
