    Honeycomb material source

Looking for source for the honeycomb material used in the floor of my Spirit 27 body. I have a repair to make after it was cut out to clear a rear end. It looks to be about 1/2 to 5/8" thick. Thanks.

    New project,the worst way.

9 " Ford seems like overkill for a 4 cyl. Pete & Jakes chassis came with rear end sized with Wilwood brakes. 3.50 ratio.

Thanks all for the replies. I had a chance to get a more detailed look at what he had done so far. At first I wasn't too hot for the 4 cyl turbo engine but after looking it over and speaking with a guy that can help me with the computer to run the efi I think its best to move forward with the 4...

    New project,the worst way.

Thanks gents. I didn't get to talk much about his shop as I was helping his wife with other matters. (we're 600 miles apart)He had an old car magazine that he saw a car he wanted to duplicate. This was his second project. He built a nice little '29 Ford that was pretty conventional looking. He...

    New project,the worst way.

Greetings forum members. My brother passed away oct 4th and left me his project car. Spirit 27 body on a pete & jakes chassis. Turocharged 4 cyl. Ford and 5 speed installed. Will update when I get it home. His vision was a 40's /50's era drag racing type car.

    Eatin' Crow

I ordered the plans book for this car. I love the idea of something different and it has a lot of interesting features. The most popular donor drive train package seems to be the honda '92-'95 prelude which are everywhere. Probably nothing a hard core T bucket guy is interested in but I like...

    My T Bucket

Like following your build. I'm a former KC area resident. I come to see my brother once in a while. He built a fiberglass '29 roadster. He is now building a '27 with a spirit body on a pete &jakes model A frame. He lives a mile from pete& jakes so they get plenty of his money. I'm using ford...

    Mustang front end

I like your build. So much talk about the front end and not much about the engine, that thing is going to be a beast with that powerplant! I think the IFS is OK but as written, different strokes for different folks. It's not like your were doing this to some original henry steel, it's a...

    Limped Kletus home tonight.

For such heavy walled tubing it's a shame it was welded with such a small undercut fillet. Some people are fooled by that pretty "stack of dimes" look. How many chinamen do you think are educated on the heat affected zone? Mig welding is ugly in some cases but regular DOM tubing with a good...

    Louisville, KY Street Rod Nationals

Anybody coming to the street rod nationals in Louisville? I'm local so it's a tool buying, swap meet affair for me. Be nice to meet any board members if possible.

    ASkiles's Low '23 Build

I like the wheel choice. Even if you don't coat them black they will have a nice contrast with a lot of other black on the car. Sitting level or with a slight forward rake and able to step into the bucket is a good plan. I'm planning on a windsor in mine but I think cleavelands are a geat...

    My Little "Rat Hot"

Great looking project. I like the engine choice. Looks like you are giving some of Henry's parts another chance on life. Are the prices on the lakester website in Brazilian Real? Looking forward to seeing your progress.

    ASkiles's Low '23 Build

I'm really digging the mock up. Cleavelands rule! Are you going to run those deep offset front wheels? Looks like the drag link will get into the tire pretty easy, could be the camera angle. I have plans to use a mustang 8.8 with 3.08 gears in my project. The downside to the 8.8 is as you...

    Model A Coupe

I guess to find one unchopped a guy will have to find henry steel. Thanks for the links.

    Model A Coupe

I have pecked around the internet a little and was wondering if anyone still make a fiberglass T coupe body. I know years ago a lite wt. one was available for super modified dirt trackers. Any leads?

    Chevy 350

You couldn't build an engine with all new parts for that kind of money. Crate engines come with a warranty too. There's something to be said about having a powerplant ready to drop in the hole and run.
