    Engine turned (jeweled) dash

That dash is beautiful. I want to do one for my T someday. What did you use-a kit (such as Eastwood sells) or some other method?

Glad to see the forum is still in business!

If I said I wasn't a goofball, I'd be lying! Anyway, since my last visit my boys have grown up and moved out (so I get my garage back!), I'm still at the same job, and the T is in the middle of getting a make-over.

Glad to see the forum is still in business!

I just re-found the forum after a long absence! It seemed to have disappeared a few years ago after the fellow that ran it passed away. What have I missed?

Which engine would you pick and why?

What I'd put in a bucket is a 1950's Dodge or DeSoto "baby" hemi (241 to 345 cid)-smaller and lighter than their Chrysler counterparts but every bit as cool. A friend of mine recently bought a '56 Dodge Suburban D-500 2-d00r wagon with a 315 Super Red Ram hemi. I told him that motor would look...

    New Popeye?

I grew up watching the "old" Popeye and I think I turned out all right (although that's my opinion)!

    Loaning out tools

Bill, your dad and my dad were a lot alike-Dad used to give me tools for Christmas, birthdays, etc., even Easter (unlike candy, tools don't rot your teeth). I also bought my son quite a few tools (complete sets of wrenches and screwdrivers, special bike tools, etc.) but he still uses mine. As...

    Loaning out tools

I myself don't borrow tools, but my 17-year-old son is another matter. He borrows MY tools all the time and never (well, hardly ever) puts them back where he found them. Usually they get sucked into the black hole of chaos that is his work area. He is a mechanic at the local bike shop (and a...

    Who do you support

Where I live in Ohio, Summit Racing's retail store is just a few miles away, a good rod-and-custom shop is within driving distance, and there are a couple good local mom-and-pop auto parts stores nearby that have knowledgeable counter people and parts for older cars. Sure, the local shops may...
