    Fiberglass body construction methods?

A good mold is the first place to start. Builder reputation is the next step or kind of go hand in hand. The process that is used on most if not all bodies is chopper or spray up. I'd ask for the thickness of the body and what they do to avoid porosity in tight areas and corners. I would guess a...

    Fuel tank venting

A vented cap would have been ideal but not practical or as economical with the tank or plans that I have. Kind of hard to explain as a vented cap would be very easy & I'm not trying to complicate things. Anyone know where I can get the grommet Total Performance used with their tank and filler...

    Fuel tank venting

I'm using a Total Performance tank with a boat fuel fill similar to T.P.'s original plans. The boat fuel fill and cap are not vented nor is the T.P. tank. My question is, can I successfully vent the tank through the filler neck as this picture shows? I wouldn't use the return line back to the...

    Pure Michigan Potholes

Michigan pothole swallow pothole patching truck LOL. This is no joke either. Happened today in East Lansing MSU campus. While the crew was filling potholes, another one opened under the truck. This is something you don't see everyday.

    302" Ford crank pulley

Check ebay. I saw a couple there for a tune of around 50 bucks. Can always find aluminum too for around the same amount.

    WOW talk about inflation

Mark, Never bought anything from them. I just noticed at the bottom of the page that this company is for dealers or hobby shops. Might be a start in the right direction though? Good luck.

    Batten down the hatches

We've been in the 40's the last couple of days & I could see some patches of grass in my yard. Looking at getting another 3-8 inches here tonight with those same 20-30 mph winds. I was just starting to get used to wearing shorts the last couple of days and watching goofballs riding their...

    WOW talk about inflation

I came across this a couple of years ago around Christmas. The local store put out a nice display and I too couldn't get over the price. I think this may be the reason someone thought defibulators were a good idea to have in stores.

    I'm all choked up.

I had a similar experience @ Advanced Auto about a year ago. I was looking for lug nuts & nothing fancy. Asked the kid behind the counter for ten 1/2 x 20 lug nuts. He asked for the vehicle year. I too had to throw the 1923 at him and received the same response of "the computer doesn't go back...

That area used to be known for producing some of the best pellet guns made. Now that area will be known for nice T Buckets. Welcome to the site from Michigan.

As if the snowfall was not enough

Snow, snow, snow, I'm so sick of snow. I drive semi and it's hard enough to keep these trucks moving in a straight line without the ditch divers rushing to find a fresh spot to claim as their own. Fire trucks and cop cars have been finding their way into the medians as well. Seems nobody...

    Radiators

I'm guilty of buying one of these as well and I'm hoping it keeps things cool. The thing to consider with one of these is who can fix it if it were to develop a leak? The fins are about as thick as an aluminum beer can.
