Thanx. The car isn't complete yet but here's a couple of pics: The first is my wife and I in our bucket in 1973 My '26 Whack'n the roof:

    Front brake covers

I think O'Brian truckers is making a finned aluminum cover for discs now that look like Buick drums - not sure but I think I saw them advertised recently.

    Gas prices, again!

Come to Canada guys - then complain about your prices - since this latest deal with Assan our prices have gone to 1.35? Litre - that's about $5.40 /Gallon! and my T needs premium so it's a lot more than that.

Hi Guys. I've been lurking here for some time - always loved T buckets - built my first one in 1972 with a dropped axle up front and a Vette rear end. My wife and I drove it from Canada to Tulsa for the 1973 Nationals. It's long gone now and I haven't posted much because I don't own a bucket...

    stroked545 bad news, bad night

Whew - glad to hear you got out OK. Unreal power to weight ratio!

    The Hunnert Dollar T begins

Good start but I gotta teel ya - I think I'd ashcan the rear suspension too. Nothing like a nice dropped axle up front and a 8" ro 9" Ford on coil overs or even a buggy spring out back - I'm using a narrowed '35 Ford rear spring on my project but Model T and A springs are so pretty!

    I REALLY dont like wiring

Good advice. One thing: You can use a single filament bulb if you want - but it means adding some relays and it can get quite complicated. I turn one headlight off and flash it when I'm turning - some new cars turn the headlight off when the turn signal is on so I don't think it's a problem.

    Alternator question for a rewire

Yep - what Potvin Guy said. The alternator in the picture is not a one wire. The light is required on that style alternator.

    Battery Question

Good advice. Don't mean to hijack your post but I'm wondering if anyone's tried those new tiny batteries? They are 1/2 the size of a regular battery but can put out up to 1100 cranking amps - amazing. My car's not quite done yet and I have very little space for a battery. Hoping one of these...

    HEI dizzy

Yeh the big HEI can be a problem sometimes. Everyone I know uses the pertronix conversion that has been suggested and they seem to be trouble free. I'm now having trouble mounting my old style Pertronix converted distributer because the vacuum advance doesn't clear my tripower. I think I'm going...

Help me find a turn signal switch please

There's a aite that explains about how to build Hot Rods that I can't post the actual link to because I don't have enough posts yet - just trying to be of help - I have no interest in this outfit and it's a freebie. I don't want to add front turn signals to my T so I've modified their drawing to...

    One Wire Alt.

#2? Must be quite big! Usually a #10 is sufficient
