    Where are they now . . .

Still working on the list. The flooring is down. The 40+ bags of floor leveler and hours of grinding paid off. Wainscoting is in. Base and crown moulding to do. And replacing a knee wall on the stairway with a newel and handrail. Then lots and lots of painting.

    A Bit More Progress

I'd use torn pieces of mat. Like the ones in my post #730. The most important thing is to grind off the gel coat all around the connecting areas on the body and the front of the bed. 2-3 inches to expose only the raw glass. Then get the bed positioned and attached with body filler, epoxy or...

    A Bit More Progress

I'm still here. I've been super focused on putting a vinyl planked floor in the whole downstairs. It all started out well enough. Then when I got my laser set up I found out how uneven the slab was. So after 30+ bags of leveler and some grinding down to the aggregate in places it's finally dead...

    Fuel prices

This is why it's imperative to know what's going on. This administration and it's cohorts are part of "Progressive" movement. A degrowth movement. A rehashed marxist movement with a warm and fuzzy name.

The jerkoff told everyone what he was gonna do. Kill the fossil fuel industry.

    Fiber Glassing Tips

One thing that helps with resin setting up too quick is to use flat trays. I'll mix up 16 to 24 oz. at a time in a mixing tub and then pour it into an aluminum tray or a paint roller liner. The same amount of resin in a deep tub compared to a shallow tray sets up way faster. Something to do...

Bolt doesn't quite fit in pitman arm.

Here's another link that gives dimensions. There's SO many sizes. Shop Bolts » Shear Bolts If I were needing a certain size I'd have to contact them. I don't understand the correlating numbers.

Bolt doesn't quite fit in pitman arm.

And there are shoulder bolts that have the same size threads. You don't have to step down to a smaller nut. McMaster-Carr

Bolt doesn't quite fit in pitman arm.

You could use shear bolts on the heim joints. Shear Bolts NAS6204 | Aircraft Spruce They're sized by their shoulder and grip lengths. They have a shallow head, and are a more accurate fit than standard SAE bolts.

    Kiwi Nationals

Those with tops were probably glad they had them.

The T in my head, thoughts?

Impressive. Did you build that whole assembly? Where'd the short coilover come from? I'm curious, could you adapt some cogged blower pulleys and belt?

    My ProjecTee

Are you planning on molding them in permanent? Or keeping them removable.

Talk about building it yourself, holy cow!

Those guys look to be pretty light. But still, they're able to stand on the roof. The welds are scary.

Talk about building it yourself, holy cow!

I wouldn't want to take this up to high speeds but some of the mold making is impressive.

    3M CUBITRON II

It looks like this has been around for a while. It's just new to me. The CUBITRON II has all of the standard sanding and grinding discs sizes, Roloc discs, belts, sticky backed sheets etc.

    3M CUBITRON II

Not really. It's just way more efficient. Quicker but not uncontrollable. I'm using the 5" for my orbital.

    3M CUBITRON II

If you haven't tried this yet I think you'll be as amazed as I am. This stuff is outstanding and worth every penny. It's more like a sanding screen and way faster than sandpaper.

    Avoiding the next job.

Man I thought car was painted. That's some seriously good gel coat.

    Steering shaft securement

I think you'd be fine with indentations and cone-point set screws. Just enough detent for the points and some thread locker at final assembly time. Your sections of shaft are trapped in place and aren't going anywhere.
