My first T build.

Hello everyone. Been a while since I posted. Been busy with life. In all this time haven't done squat to the car. I'm kind of stuck while I save for a new welder. Anyway nothing has changed. Just wanted to say hi.

    1996 Vortec 350

Okay folks, like the title says I have a Vortec 350 for my Bucket. I am wondering how the stock roller cam will work with a carburetor? Anyone have any experience? I have a hydraulic flat tapped cam that I can use but if this roller cam will work okay with a carburetor I just assume leave it in...

    Boom tubes

Thanks for the thoughts Screaming Metal! I was thinking exactly what you just said. I was thinking of cutting them and welding a pipe and glasspacks on the end of them. Just to have it look different. In the end I think I would be better off making them instead of cutting up a set and modifying...

    Headlight/shock mounts

Hey Ron. I am thinking about buying your headlight mounts item #8006. I was hoping you had a picture of them on a T bucket? I won't be mounting shocks to them, I just like how they look.

    Boom tubes

Thinking of using speedway boom tube zoomies on my T and was wondering if anyone has tried them before? I plan on modifying them but hopefully they clear the drag link?

The first hot rod you ever saw?

My Uncle had a 68 Nova with a 230 straight six and a powerglide. It was getting tired but I enjoyed riding in it. When I was about twelve he had me over to "help" him build then install a 350/350. Once we took it on its virgin run down a long straight access road and I looked over and the...

    un registered t bucket

Just buy a title online, stamp the numbers on the frame, call a friend who is a notary, and take the title with the verification form to the tax collected and get the title transfered to you and buy a tag all in one trip. It's not the legal way but saves a ton of frustration

    Wheel base?

If my memory serves me, the c-cabs that meangreat built had a 96 inch wheelbase and the kick up was 20 inches to support the wood body. I remember the bodies being rather simple to make. Look at some pics he has posted of them by doing a c-cab thread search and you should find them. Who knows...

    Radiator for 454

I will have to take a look at what Spirit has to offer. I like to do business with site sponsors first

    Radiator for 454

Thank you everyone for the advice. I will have to do some research. I plan to use the 5 inch fiberglass T shell that Speedway offers so there should be plenty of room to pick an appropriate radiator

    Radiator for 454

For those of you running big block chevys, what radiator are you using? I will be running a 454 with a mild cam and I'm looking at the old mustang radiator like the one Ron Pope sells. Do you guys think it will be enough to cool a big block?

    My first T build.

I have some House of Kolor Candy brandywine left over that I will probably use for the body. The base coat is black so I'll spray that and then lay out the flames and paint them with the candy midcoat then finally clear over the whole thing. That is a ways off from now though!

    My first T build.

Rolled it outside for some pics. What do yall think? The front is about where it should be when all the weight is up there since the tires measure 24 inches tall and I plan on running 25 inch tires. The back will be about an inch higher for the same reason. '] ']

    Status of tbucketeers

It is a testament as to the kind of folks Hulk and Ron are to work together while being business competitors to accomplish a common goal. That is why I have chosen these folks to spend my money with for my project. Thank you both for what you are doing. Although I prefer to fabricate much of...
