    Speedometer cable location?

You can get universal cables that you cut to length.

    Speedometer cable location?

Just a FYI, I looked into their gauges when shopping for mine and yes, they are assembled in USA, but the components are not manufactured here, not all of them anyways. I’m sure they are fine but at the price point, I was less than enchanted by this fact. Sadly, in our global economy, few things...

electric fuel pump problem? Thats a maybe.

Good point. A sticky or corroded relay could cause intermittent issues.

electric fuel pump problem? Thats a maybe.

I had the blue, marine version of that pump on my boat as well as a red one on the rear tank of my f350 dually. Both of them seized up due to corrosion from the ethanol blended fuel. Neither were in storage for extended times. The truck was only a few months. I doubt that’s your issue, just a...

    A Ford in your future . . . ?

I’m with you. I get frustrated with my older stuff and think about just buying new but I really do not like the new stuff plus all of the bells and whistles are pointless to me, not to mention not being able to service them. They have made buying a new car unrealistic for me. I would and could...

    Mykk's BMW V8 T-bucket, version 1.5:

There was a guy selling tanks that fit underneath, between the frame rails... larger footprint, thin, low profile. I thought it was a interesting idea but would have to be incorporated in the design. They were a sponsor of this site for a short time, I believe. Just a FYI.

    Altered states . . .

When I bought mine, it had been a strip car. 427 tunnel ram, 13:1, etc, with 456 gears and a spool, slicks, only rear brakes. I’ve tamed it considerably in an attempt to make it street-able. Results pending.

    Automatic vs stick shift

I agree about limited real estate, but I love manual shifted hot v8 powered cars. Mine is a t10 4 speed. I went to extremes to make it work.

    A legend passes . . .

Sad news. He lived a long life. Sadly, hotrodding as we know it seems to be a dying art.

Supercharged BMW V8 T-bucket, Replacement Engine Day.

I appreciate off center stuff too. Nothing against sbc, bbc, ford, Chrysler, etc... just nice to see different flavors. Love to see craftsmanship as opposed to store bought.

What, color film too? Lol.... great memories!

    New Shop Open Now!

I misinterpreted your question... I am downsizing and have been selling stuff locally... I was thinking that opening a store is what I need to do, lol. Selling, more like donating, but at least it’s gone and I get something in return. Reducing the yard sale goodies and the burden on whoever gets...

    TO ALL MEMBERS

That’s odd. Spirit used to be pretty active on here, especially after Mike passed away. I just got confused by the recent post and was curious what was going on. I’ve been semi inactive for a while, not up to date on the daily grind.

    TO ALL MEMBERS

I somehow missed this drama and just noticed it as a result of oldtymehiboy’s recent post. What happened with the site and rpm? Did he sell the site? What happened with Spirit? I know they wanted the site at one time. To be clear: I have no axe to grind nor do I care who owns it, I’m just...

    Trip Down Memory Lane

Sorry to hear that. I wish you the best in recovery. I can relate in a similar situation. I’ve been trying things I never dreamed of in an attempt to alleviate spinal issues and recover physical function. It’s not enjoyable.

    The Heartbreak of Steering Slop

Steering boxes can be adjusted too, but too tight is too tight. Glad you found a simple solution.

    Peterbilt T-Bucket Anybody?

That’s no #1800 beast... I bet it rides good with the weight.

    Progress!

Safety glasses are great, but I had a sliver of brass go under my safety glasses and into my eye one time, so there is no fail safe. Sometimes stuff just happens. Glad you are okay!
