    Milwaukee car craft summer naional's

Just got back from a show in Florida. One T bucket showed up but it was trailered. It was HOT in an open car. We left really early in the morning to return home just to beat the heat. There was a good mix of cars there but the muscle cars took most of the awards.

    How do you stay dry?

We made it home from the car show. Stormed last night while I was sleeping per my wife. I slept thru it. At least I had put the top up. Got sunburned on he trip there so we left the top up on the trip home. I was praying for rain just to get out of the sun on the way there. It was my wife's...

    How do you stay dry?

My wife's question of the day was "couldn't you find an antique car with air conditioning and a trunk?"

    How do you stay dry?

Got to our destination. Its way too hot here in Florida to be driving an open car in the middle of the day. Crashed after we hit the motel. It was raining when we got up and you guessed it - I hadn't put the top up.

    How do you stay dry?

I rode a motorcycle to work for a total of 3 years (2 hour round trip). Rain or shine, summer or winter. Stopped when I started to work nights. Too many deer and feral hogs get hit around here to be taking a chance on a bike. Came real close one year to running over an alligator when I was on...

    How do you stay dry?

Looks like I'll be experiencing the wet first hand this weekend. We're leaving for a car show in Live Oak, FL in the morning. Its supposed to rain the whole weekend. My wife has already suggested that she follow me with her car but misery loves company and why burn extra fuel?

    How do you stay dry?

Got soaked in my current roadster the first day that I bought it. I have a top and side curtains for it but couldn't get off the interstate quick enough to put it up. That 60mph trick doesn't work in tropical storm weather! Worst part was not being able to see out of my glasses. Haven't...

    How do you stay dry?

Potvinguy What are you using for seats? Some of the interiors I've seen don't look like they would stand up to too many of our "frog stranglers". I've thought of using some of the closed cell foam we use for cockpit cushions on our boat. My original thought was to use an automotive bench seat...

    How do you stay dry?

My wife keeps telling me that sugar isn't the only thing that melts so I probably should be concerned. :):) I have an english roadster now but it has hard side curtains. I get just as wet as I do on my motorcycle but at a slower rate. My real concern is the upholstery getting soaked and water...

    How do you stay dry?

It rains here in coastal Georgia more often than not. Do most of you use side curtains, trailer your car or have any other method to stay dry short of frog toggs?

    Sorry for the double post

Almost ready to lay up some bucket bodies!

If you buy metal rollers instead of the plastic ones you can burn the resin out. A small propane torch should work. I don't recommend trying what we used to do. We put a small amount of acetone in a metal coffee can. Small means a tablespoonful or so. Acetone is REALLY flammable so less is...

    british t bucket

I was looking at a British Rodding site and came across this. I'd be afraid to see what the seats look like. Talk about a throne room.

    Name this cowl

That's what it looks like to me too. My memory isn't good but I thought that I had ordered a model t cowl. Here are the dimensions: 28" bottom. To windshield 46" at widest point 39" wide at bottom 16" deep 16" tall windshield frame How far off is this from the size of a model t cowl? Gary

    Name this cowl

This is a cowl I picked up a few years ago to build a woodie. If I remember it was sold as a model t cowl. Is it? The windshield uprights are 16" high. Wish they were a little higher but there is no way to add on to them and make it look decent so it looks like they'll have to do. Any way what...

    So, why a T Bucket?

So, the reason I like the t bucket. There is going to come a time when I am no longer going to be able to get in or out of the unmentionable English sports car. I still love minimal, fast, loud, out in the open air fun cars. Certain variations of the t bucket will be easier to exit for me while...

    So, why a T Bucket?

The transverse rear spring that triumph used in the spitfire wasn't tempered very well. After a few mile the wheels would can't and from the back the car would look like it was squatting to take a ... You know wat I mean. As much problem as it was it was still the most fun car I ever owned. It...

    So, why a T Bucket?

I remember being stopped one night for my headlights flickering on and off. Turned out the bad pavement was jiggling something in the fuse box. Even had the spring in the clutch master cylinder break. Ever hear of that ever happening? I was at the dealer when the TR-7's first came out. One...
