    Oshkosh 2025

No, but I'm a fan of aviation since boyhood. Oshkosh gives me goosebumps! 😆

Many of us bucketeers are also aero heads and appreciate the turnout for the EAA Oshkosh fly-in. Here a little video from this years' event:

    Me Old?

Maybe that's why I feel like a kid whenever I go cruising in my 'bucket! (But getting in and out of it reminds me that I'm a geezer!)

    Body-to-frame attachment

How is your T-bucket body attached to your frame? I used the well nuts that are supplied by Speedway, but I know some don't like this method.

    multi carb setups

That setup would be killer in the looks department. Tuning them is another story. You must be a very patient sort!

New to the Forum from Central Texas

Hey, JSB . . . I hope you understand we are not being critical of your son's hotrod, just trying to explore what you have and maybe offer useful suggestions. How did this thing run when your son test drove it? Buick nailheads provide a lot of torque and should propel that little T-bucket rather...

I think this situation would benefit from an electric water pump and electric engine cooling fan. I wonder how effective the belt-driven water pump is, given the minimal contact arc of the belts on the pulleys. There has to be a lot of slippage.

Welcome to our family! That's a cool setup. I don't recall ever seeing one just like it. I can't see any way to "tension the belts" either. Maybe someone who has seen a similar setup can chime in. Multiple belt configurations like that are very 'old school.' Most current blower drives use a wide...

new guy, just aquired this t-bucket from a friend that lost interest. the rear is weird looking to me.

That one in the picture is not mine. I put it there to show what the old coil spring setups looked like. Here's a couple of pics of my coil-over rear suspension . . .

Congrats, and welcome! Those rear suspension setups were common on some of the '60's T-buckets, but have been superseded by coilovers, like PHP says. Looks like you've got the basics for a good hotrod there, Ponyman. What are your plans for the powertrain?

Quick solution to the leg-burn-on-exhaust problem: remove the long extensions and replace with shorty turnouts with baffles. That's my setup and it's not too loud unless I mash on the gas!

    Summer breeze . . .

My body is a stock 23 T from Spirit Cars. I channeled it 5" to get the low-down look I wanted.

Nice 27 roadster! I don't consider 27s as " t-buckets" but they certainly qualify as model-T hotrods. Good score!
