    Hot Rod Bucket

Happy 5 year anniversary since post #1. Thanks for documenting your build!

    The Yeti's 27 T Build

I believe this is a great choice. I have some familiarity with these engines, but I learned a little more today out of curiosity. I assume this is an L61 Gen II, which appears to be the pick of the litter. High strength block, larger port heads, modern ignition & timing sensors, better ECM...

    Hot Rod Bucket

I've been following threads with Z'd frames. I'm planning a build with similar ride height. How did you know that the amount you raised the front rails and kicked up the rear would yield the ground clearance you were looking for? I've searched the suspension forum for conversation about how...

    Frame for big boy body

I will do that. Thanks. I misread your response in post 3. Very simple-from front, 98", then 7" on a 45* kick up, then 8" horizontal!

Or when driving through a ballpark.

    Hot Rod Bucket

Besides loving the ride height of this one, I really like the idea of the chassis able to run and drive with or without the body. I see (sorta) how the body's firewall attaches to the "fixed" firewall on the chassis, but I don't see any pics of how the sides and back of the tub will attach to...

    Hot Rod Bucket

It seems every project I get into requires a few unique special tools. In anticipation of my bucket project...I shall procure a soft ball.

    The excitement is building

I have to admit, I had to Google Oculus Rift. And I'm curious what type of expensive hardware are you using, all VR?

    Frame for big boy body

Ron, I sent a message this morning through your site requesting dimensions on the Big Boy, and the other bodies. I'm sure I'll get that through that channel. Then I saw this post, which raised a couple of questions. Is the reason you say do not make the frame wider because of the width of the...

    pics from my build

Well, I hate that this project went dark a year ago, but I'm glad a couple of y'all bumped it to the top. Otherwise I never would have seen it. I'm real close to jumping into a bucket project that would be an SBC. But....I keep seeing hotrod Jeep 6 YouTube vids, like stroking to 4.6 liters and...

    The naked chassis thread.

Duh! I guess if I had searched Jim B or Hot Rod Bucket I'd've got it. Thx

    The naked chassis thread.

Where is a thread on the pictured bucket? It didn't come up on a search here. Thanks

    The naked chassis thread.

I'm down with this thread concept. I am an un-chassis'd individual aspiring to build, and this could potentially be a great idea source.

    The excitement is building

You could borrow a pair of wheels & tires off the Nissan PU and bolt them on the front of the K10 donor while you are lifting the engine out, to lose some of that altitude. (or just remove the fronts and set it on the ground on its brake rotors)
