    Hot Rod Bucket

Taking a little ride. Actually pretty amazing that almost all of the parts of this rod could come from the internet, You Tube helped on all the details, my brother the welder did the smokey work and this forum helped with the details. Modern hot rod build....

    Lithium Battery install

This is the alternator I have. This is the Lithium Battery I have. Indycars, do you think I need this little resistor with this set up? T-Test, I answer your "Why? with a "What?" :) I have driven Sally with this new setup but only for short little drives around the hood and haven't burnt...

    Lithium Battery install

I just put in a Group 20, small Lithium battery that is rated for 600cca. It only weighs about 3 pounds and fits perfectly under the seat. Anyone know what do I have to do to protect my alternator? I have looked on line and found mostly boat stuff.

Nicely done. There is no reason not to use this space for a little artwork!!

    Hot Rod Bucket

Just a little romp through the hood Still need an interior. Working on it. Put in a bigger battery and a bigger alternator. That cured my starting issues. A lithium group 20 battery is the ticket. Small and 600 CCA does the trick. Can spin these tires in a straight line for blocks BUT when a...

    Hot Rod Bucket

That is a beautiful brake set up. I wish I had the room to put something like that in. I have a Wilwood remote single M/C and my pedal ratio is a tad higher.

    Hot Rod Bucket

Took it to the Annual Rod Run in Pigeon Forge, TN. Sally did pretty good considering I had zero miles on it when I loaded it on the trailer. Here it is loaded up and ready to go. Clears the dovetail on flat ground by about an eighth of an inch. Right after I unloaded her. It was a big...

    Hot Rod Bucket

Thanks Spanky. Most of those leaves are from an old 1923 front end and are pretty mushy. It seems to work fine with the big pack-o-leaves. Catches your eye for sure. We will see. If I keep the schedule, I will be driving it on Thursday.

    Seatbelts or not?

My bucket sure isn't a quarter inch thick. :D

    Seatbelts or not?

I have a nice set of four point seat belts and can attach them to the frame. But I am wondering if it is better to be thrown out or be strapped in? If I treat this like a four wheel motorcycle, I might would rather be thrown out. I have seen them both ways. Now is the time for me to decide.

    Hot Rod Bucket

Thanks much. I have laid out stripes and simple designs back when I was painting bikes but never anything as elaborate as flames. Leave that Oklahoma heat for a bit and come out to Tennessee, you can help me paint. : )

    Hot Rod Bucket

This is what my seats look like and I plan to match that same diamond pattern all the way around the inside of the bucket. The interior should be done by Sept 1. Now I am on a timeline. I already booked my room right on the strip in Pigeon Forge. I was there last year for the Shades of the Past...
