    23 T progress update

Thanks for the tip Gerry and the compliments gents. I'll add more pics as she progresses. There are some challenges ahead with the steering column, shifter cable and pedals plus building a new custom dash so it'll be interesting to see it come together, hopefully in time to drive it this summer...

    23 T progress update

Hi to all! Well I finally have a few minutes and some pics to share. As I planned to put a roof on (Bows and header from California Roadsters) I decided best to install a door for easier access, especially the ladies. That turned into a fairly major project, had to move the windshield posts...

Well the body is off to the fibreglass shop to have the passenger door done as well as cleanup some extra holes as I had to move the windshield posts. Today I built the posi for it, the one that was in it had the axle gears welded to the carrier, no fun on corners! Next I'll tackle the power...

Ahh, that's good to know Indy, will watch for that. And yes will check the spirit site before I purchase, important to support each other. I really like the top bows CCR offers and plan on using them. Only problem is shipping costs to Canada, i's nasty. Just followed Cooter's thread on a door...

Well folks, further investigation indicates that when someone installed the wood dash (which looks good) they mounted the windshield supports on the face which move them rearward. I'm going to modify the ends of the dash so I can move the mounts forward and may tip the windshield back slightly...

    The naked chassis thread.

JetMech, any chance you would have a pic of the body showing the door and hinge setup in relation to the windshield support? Thanks and the frame is awesome, not hard to tell you're an aircraft mechanic!

Looks good Mike. I like the Cross steering and the location of the box vs the traditional steering mine has presently. I think I will be upgrading to this style. Are you using the Vega box / setup from Speedway?

Haha, yes I've been away for a while Indy. Hmm, I never thought of removing the body lines or moving them. Good suggestions and something to think about. have to see a car without them. I've been trying to decide if I should attend the Nationals in Tennessee but would prefer if there was a meet...

    T Bucket in Toronto?

Check with RIV, the Canadian import agency that governs what vehicles come in to Canada if you haven't already. You'll still have to meet the Provincial legislation regarding their guidelines in order to register it too. I ended up purchasing mine close to home here in Alberta but I was...

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Much appreciated. I've been to all those states except Texas but it's on my list! Spent some time in St. Louis too Spanky, my brother used to live there in the 80's. The Caribbean I swam in off the east coast of Panama and yes it was warm. You're spoiled for sure...

Thanks again for the membership, I'm looking forward to connecting and learning everything I can about the T's. I've had many old Fords, presently own a 1950 Tudor (rodded) that I built and a 1965 Comet Caliente. I also enjoy riding my motorcycle but as I'm getting older I'm considering other...
