50 degrees on a ride

Got the ''t'' out today , cool 50 degrees , went on a 5 mile ride . You know it's still as much fun at 78 years old as it was when I was 77 . Had a birthday last month..

Funny how much warmer 50 feels after a long winter than in the fall after a warm summer! The guys around here are restless, I've seen several bikes and hot rods out. I'm holding out for a while, just got over being sick most of the winter... no fun. It's been very wet this year and several schools etc closed due to illness. My daughter attends two schools and I think I got it from both barrels.

We've done it before. Bundle up and go. Not really that much wind in the car.

I try to go once a month if I can. Other wise I start it & let it run in the garage , on jack stands , let it run in drive & reverse for a while , moves the oil around in motor , tranny & rear end..

Say what??? 50 is a nice cool day. In the 30's is chilly.

At 50 degrees my engine says "excuse me!". It really hates cool weather!

I use to pull my shifter boot off for those cool rides. It allowed a little heat from the tranny into the cockpit. Kinda helped to warm my hands up when needed.
