Bed Cover

Looking for ideas on how to make a cover for my bed! Completely removable, or hinged?
Any help, and pics would be appreciated.

Here's what I did:

The lid was made from a sheet of aluminum, it's hinged at the back edge, and a pair of Dakota Digital linear actuators open and close it. I put all the car show badges on the underside.

Now that I like! Thanks for the pics. What type of hinges did you use?
Here's one of the hinges:

..it's been badly bent (don't ask). But a simple piano hinge.
And here's how it fits:

Epoxied to lid and screws into the bed frame. This way it's hidden from view when lid closed.

That's the way mine are done with a Bear Claw latch on the other end.

I cut out a piece of plywood ,for the top & coverted it with black vinyl. put 2 round headed bolts [ painted black] in the top ,then got 2 buggy cords hooked to bottom of bolts & at the bottom hooked to shock mounts . Has worked for 10,000+ miles. stays on real good,

Love the simplicity of using a hinge. Did you apply any type of seal on the cover? Foam or rubber?

Piano Hinge, latch bracket and bear claw latch
And the nice thing about the CCR body is it comes with the latch mounting holes already marked, just drill and bolt 'em up.

Hey Butch, does the plywood warped any over time?
Plywood warps if it absorbs moisture differently on one side than the other and thus expands or contracts more on one side than the other. An example would be painting one side and leaving the other side bare so that the bare side can absorb more moisture from the air than the painted side.
