When my father fist build his bucket, he had a combination ignition switch. It was a circle dial with 0-9 on it. It had a shaft in the center. you would turn it to 3 numbers, turn the shaft and it would start. He got in out of a hot rod magazine in the 60's. It stooped working about 15 yrs ago. I want to get another one. Anyone ever heard of one. I have emailed several companies, and not of them have ever heard of one.

Do you have the old unit? If so, a locksmith might be able to help, since it seems to work like a combination lock, which has tumblers, etc.

My father threw it away. He replaced it with a key ignition. I don't have any pictures of it. Even if i did, I don't have the upload button.

I've had some success with the "copy and paste" feature for pictures.
I just copied and pasted this photo from Google.
It worked, maybe. Let me know if you can see the purple bucket.

That's because you are pasting a hyper link (https). Don't look at the first https://tbucketeer, it the last one that counts in RED. Screwed-up ...... yes I know!

Now, I'm very confused!

You see the pic because it loads from the remote location every time the page is pulled up. If the name
or location ever changes, then there will be a blank spot since it can't find the pic now.

So this combination ignition switch needs the secret code to start the car?

It like a pad lock. It has numbers on a a dial. In the center of the dial is a shaft. You turn the dial to 3 numbers, that unlocks the shaft. Then turn the shaft like a key. I wish he had kept it.
