Couple videos for a dyno day we had.

So I am a moderator at a local site called stlhondas.com and Sunday was our bi-anual dyno day. Its not just hondas, just a bunch of local people having fun. I didnt put HP numbers or video the dyno screens to let the owners of the car put up their own numbers.

Highest HP was the yellow camaro
lowest hp was the flat green civic
Highest HP under the SC camaro was the blue civic with the water show(5thgen)

Enjoyed the V8s. I have never seen a car get loose on a dyno, but I still can't get used to seeing people stand infront of a car making a pull. Sorta like looking down a gun barrel to me.

Amen!

One time, and one time only, I got on a stepladder alongside a motor on the dyno, so I could see inside the carb, during a pull. I'm not ashamed to say my knees were knocking. You cannot imagine how quickly a piece of rod can get out and start punching holes in the walls, until you actually see it happen. Not to mention the sensation of being inches away from a motor loaded up against the brake at 9,000 RPM.

I don't care how many straps you used to tie those cars down, there were never going to be enough for ol' Mike to stand in front of one of them. I'm one of those 'discretion is the better part of valor' kind of guys. :nod:

Lol, if you notice I was always off to the side or behind all the cars. Hell on the blue civic dumping raw gas you see me move behind a wall.

The camaro put down 580 and sounded mean. My little cam didn't do it justice.
