COVID 19 concerns

After the initial panic with 10,000 people at Costco buying water (I still don't get that) and toilet paper (while leaving canned goods, bagged rice, pasta and beans on the shelf) things have calmed down a bit in Naples, Florida. The grocery stores have beef, chicken and pork products but not all on the same day. Bread and milk are available but maybe not your favorite brands. No paper towels or TP but lots of water for those who still think they need it. Not too many confirmed cases in this county yet, probably less than a dozen...but Miami now is testing and finding an infection rate higher than anticipated. I have only been out to the shop, the yard, the grocery store and the pharmacy, because that, my friends, is my normal routine. I put off the gun range because of social distancing. Those rifle benches are just too close together.

4 cases in Racine county so far. The Governor shut down the restaurants and bars. Carryouts only. I'm waiting for a nice day so I can go to the range. Nothing like the smell of gunpowder to clear the sinuses.

Here in Mooresville, NC, we are seeing a run on ammo! Not much to be had. When you find it the price is up 30-40%! Glad T-Test told me to stock up several months ago!!!

The local range had a 'best ever weekend'. Their previous sales peak was $19K for a weekend, last weekend they did $40K!

I just called my boss at Advance Auto and told him I would not be in to work for the foreseeable
future. I only work about 12 hours a week. I hated doing it, but I was getting pressure from the
wife and kids. The boss has always let me off when I wanted for the NTBA and even Christmas
this year, which means he probably has to work more hours than he already does.

It won't hurt me like others since I'm retired and getting a pension and so is the wife.

What a difference a day or two can make . . . .

The territorial governor has ordered no gatherings of more than 10 people, effective as of 6 AM Saturday, (tomorrow) morning, which effectively closes most bars, restaurants, theaters, and entertainment venues (which of course includes casinos).

It also prohibits camping on the beaches, which is almost as big an Easter tradition here as Carnival.

It looks like I may yet finally get to work on the little car . . . .

That’s pretty much the way it is around the states. No bars open. I’ll have to do my drinking at home.

The only loaded ammo I buy is rimfire. Everything else I reload. I shot a lot and reloading is the only option.

According to the news, all I needed for protection was a good mask and gloves for shopping. Boy was I embarrassed,, everyone else had clothes on.;)

I think you may be onto something there . . . .

That might be just the trick to clear the supermarket isles out around me so I can keep everyone at a proper social distance :roflmao:

The husband of a lady at my work just past away. This thing is deadly.

They have three young kids.
