cutting brake cable

Is it worth the money to get custom made parking brake cables, or can you cut, to fit, stock S-10 parking brake cables? (How do you do that?) Also, you guys that have made your parking brake cable system did you run your cables through the middle of your rear radius rods?

Just cut the cable with a torch, that will fuse the ends together. Put it back together with cable clamps. Run them so they don't bind and look the best. Thats how mine is, not S10 but the same principal.
