Door threshold width

How wide is the door thresh hold on you're guys doors that were framed with oak BEFORE cutting out the door? I only have a piece of 2x 4 oak and after I shape it there is only about 1" wide of thresh hold left.??

Do you have a way of ripping your 2X4 into strips?

Laminated pieces are super strong and won't waste material. You can make some gluing cauls that match the profile.
