Firewall

Just a thought or another option if you like shinny things as I so.

I used a 1/8" piece of mirrored plexiglass for the firewall verses stainless, aluminum or other pieces of metal. Has anyone else gone this route? It looks good, just not sure on how durable it will be. I cut a piece of rubber (used for rubber roofing) to place behind it to help prevent the mirror material from being scratched off as the body flexes during travel.

If you could build up a few coats of a good wax like Liquid Glass on it, it should hold up pretty well. Looks great.

My neighbor has the same thing. It has been on his car for at least 10 years and is still fine.
