Fuel Tank Petcock

I have purchased a T style tank from Ecklers. The supply is in the bottom of the tank. I am
looking for recommendations for thread sealant for this application (i.e. gas resistant)

Googled "Fuel Proof" sealant, and Permatex came up on multiple sites. The Ultra Black and the High Temp Copper sealants appear to do what you want.
Regards,

Blue Teflon is also fuel resistant.........I use it all the time on gas fittings......

lincolnuT is right... blue teflon is the way to go, though it's way more pricey than white teflon, which is for water.
(I've used white teflon in a pinch, but it always turns brown after a while, which made me nervous...)
Also possible is Permatex 29132 Motoseal (it's on Amazon).
If you google "gasoline line fitting sealant" all kinds of stuff comes up.
My local O'Reilly's doesn't carry anything that's listed there, so I use Amazon for such things.

If you read the back of the Ultra Black tube I believe it says "not for prolonged exposure to gasoline".
I thought Ultra Copper says the same... could be wrong... not at home to look...
ALWAYS check the fine print of whatever you get to see if it fits the application.

Funny... I was just talking about this earlier this morning...
Everything you ever wanted to know about rubber
