Kind of because i like to be different, i am considering using a combo speedo gauge from a Jeep CJ in my 27 T. they measure around 5 1/2" diameter, i like the simplicity of having a combo gauge.
good idea or not?

Well . . . I think this is one of those things that fall under the category "if it suits you, go for it!";)

PS - I note that it only has idiot lights for oil pressure/amps, but . . . Also, check out wiring issues, if any, before committing to this.

I have found that idiot lights suit me pretty well. :)

I like the combo - I'm the less is more kinda guy. I run 2 3-3/8" gauges in my '27. A speedo and a quad gauge with gas/oil/fuel/volts.

Not to derail things, but we need to see some pics of that sweet '27 project you have going!
