New From Louisiana

Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Steve and I am from Sorrento, Louisiana that's between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. New to this site but I have had my bucket for 4 years and have enjoyed every minute. I have been into old cars and trucks since I could remember. I also have a 1969 Ford F100 stepside that I enjoy. I belong to a local club here in Louisiana made up of anything and everything, if you love old cars and love to cruise that is all that is required to join up with us. We enjoy going to shows, cruise ins or just cruisin to the local drive ins. We also put on two shows a year all for charity.

Show next weekend, April 8th and 9th, at Boomtown Casino in Shreveport ... come up and see us. Will be some Ts from Texas, Kansas and Missouri there.

Would love to go, but there is a show that we are committed to here, its a show to raise money for St. Jude Children's Hospital. Sounds like it will be a pretty big show, but when there is a show at a Casino that will draw a crowd (go figure). Will have to keep the Boomtown show under wraps from my wife, all you have to do is say the word "Casino" and she's ready!! There is a couple of shows a year at the Paragon Casino in Marksville that we go to and its a blast!! Ya'll have fun and don't lose too much of that T Bucket fund!!

Thanks for the warm welcome, I have posted some pictures in a gallery, name of gallery is of course "hotrod" Its a black T Bucket with red interior old School type build, wide whites. It has the three duce setup.

Fordsbyjay I am thinking that we met at the last Cruisin the Coast, did your club stay at the Motel 6?? I do believe that I recognize your bucket looks a lot like mine. Our club is made of a bunch or car nuts, no rules, no dues, just a group that likes to have a good old time. Alternate Route Cruisers is the name of the club, why might you ask?? Pretty much because we like to take that alternate route when we are cruisin, stay off of the interstate when we can and enjoy the back roads of America.

Hotrod 46 we will be attending the "Cruisin the River" Show in Vidalia in May, can't wait we have been going for the last couple of years and we really enjoy it, it is really a good time. Reservations are made we will be arriving the early Friday morning. Really good ride down US 61, great Bucket roads nice and smooth. Matter of fact if you go to my gallery the picture of the back of my bucket heading down the road is last year heading for Vidalia.
