Rack & Pinion Steering Conversion - Need Help

I want to convert my T to R&P steering this winter. I have seen many pictures of your conversions, but has anyone every seen a step by step guide for the conversion?

Thanks,

Yep. do a search...

LincolnuT has a nice Unisteer setup. You can probably find a picture of that if you are interested.

I have R&P on my roadster but have very little spring action. If you have much spring travel you may experience bump steer. Also I am running a dead perch setup which lessens movement.

Mark I do not know of a Video of a Unisteer like I mounted on my bucket which is a true Half Rack. Not a R & P set up, but I have many photos I will send you if you want to look at them. Some of them are posted on this website & the NTBA website. Like Windy said the only real thing I was told was to keep the shaft to the front steering arm to be as level as you can keep it. That way you should be ok......Let me know...…….

As I mentioned, do a search on this site.... all the advantages of RnP and retaining the correct look of a T. Putting one across the front x member or chassis, kills the looks, at least for me it does. Especially when you can do it the way the pics above show. Just a little more work and engineering.

I put the R&P in the crossmember:
