What do most set up the rake on the front axle? 3-4 degrees?

I had Ron set my spring perch at 5*. If that's what you mean.

I'm not planning for much rake at all...1-2°. But mine will not be fixed. I'm using air bags for the rear suspension, which will give a wide range of adjustability. I'm using adjustable spring perches on the front axle, to eliminate binding at the spring.

This is an example of the typical fixed spring perch

This is an adjustable perch

As the angle of the rest of the car changes in relation to the axle, the twisting effect on the spring is eliminated.

I've heard 7 degrees from several ppl.

anywhere from 5-9 , less turns a bit easier , more tracks a bit better ..
