Hello, what kind of metal do bucket builders use to make chrome like firewall cover?

I'm going to use these guys. The panels come in aluminum and stainless. These have swirls in various diameters, but I'm sure if you call them, they can get smooth.

I used these people and cut it with a jig saw. Wasn't hard at all, just had to go slow. Took about 45
minutes to cut the perimeter. It cost less than $100.

What gauge metal did you use for the firewall panel ?

It's 18 gauge or about .048 inch thick. The company suggested 18 gauge since I was cutting
it with a jig saw, but I think it could be done with 16 gauge if so desired. I bought 12 blades
and only used one. Now my jig saw has variable speed and I kept it about 1/3 to 1/2 full speed.
