Tie Rod Reamer

Does anyone have a 7 degree( 1-1/2" per foot) tapered reamer that I could borrow/rent? Need to do three holes and really don't want to spend $100+ to buy a new one when this is probably the only time I'll need one.

I would check with a front end repair shop.

That's not a tool that a shop is likely to have. Best bet is just buy it and then sell for 1/2 price when you are done.

Check out a local race fab shop alot of them build thier own spindles. Dwight

Check with Ron @ RPM or Spirit, they might have one thats getting a little worse for wear that will sell you cheap, as they MFG. brackets and such. As long as you know thay don't have any liability about you using it....
Are you gonna be using it by hand or in a drill press? Reason I'm asking, a machine shop has tapered reamers....just have them do it for you....alot cheaper than $100....
