I'm throwing this out there to get this answered...
This is on a chevy 350.... supposedly a pre 85 block.

1 what is this hole used for normally?
2 Is it required on a T bucket?
3 Will an appropriate bolt/gasket be able to plug it?

Hello, That bolt hole is for a pivot ball for the clutch z bar or something like that. Only a car that has a standard trans used them , and not you dont need to plug it and you dont need it if running an auto trans.

Insomniac,

Thanks for the reply. That is good to know. Yes, I'm running an auto (700r4) in mine.
