I took these pictures at Blairs Speed Shop around 68 or 69. Whoever built them was a pro at using a tube bender.

Looks more like a normally aspirated passenger heater.
:hooray:

what's amazing is that they appear to be very symmetrical from one side to the other..... they still look stupid IMHO..... but very symmetrical. :fidget:

he made his cooler look like a license plate? Wonder what the cops think about that? Pretty cool as long as he gets away with it. And no front brakes.

Isn't Banks the Diesel dude?
Yes, Gale Banks is THE diesel dude! The 1st one with the mess of snakes things going.....would be cool at the cookouts, hang alot of buns on those things. Wonder if it belonged to Dr. Suess?????? hum....

And some Not so bad ,,LOL:confused:

Gale Banks made a name for himself in the performance industry before he ever touched a diesel engine. He's always been a master at turbo's.

there was a time when Gale Banks was the go to man on turbos. As the story goes he started with a '64 Corvair Spider in his 1 stall garage. Buy the late '70's he was building one off setups for Detroit. Awesome self taught guy.
