I have a 289 with a passenger side water pump intake. Looking at aluminum
radiators. Chevy radiators have the lower outlet on the passenger side vs.
the ford newer style on the drivers side. Will a chevy radiator work with
With this older water pump flow ? I can post pictures

Check the hose sizes. I think Chevy lower hose is 1 3/4 and upper is 1 1/2. Don’t know about Ford. Other wise it will work.

Nice ride spanky ! I can't post pictures yet. My dual quad setup is coming off
Soon for a single quad.

I think ORF is right; should work. Anyway, I did just the opposite: SBF radiator for my SBC! Check it out . . .

the 289 does not run well at all with 2 holley 450s . Tried jetting them down.
It has a mild cam probably stock otherwise.

Re jetting is usually the last thing you do ,timing , advance curve can have some positive effects , hollies are usually pretty close out of the box...IMO...add. pump cams & shooter size is another place where driveability can be improved....

Ford changed lower hose locations back soon after going from 289 to 302. I’m not sure of the year or applications, but you should be able to find a water pump with the location to suit your build with some research. You can also get hoses with different upper and lower diameters, or there are rubber spacers to help.
