Windshield Install ?

I'm getting ready to install my windshield on my bucket. It is a 20" high Speedway style. Should I sit the bottom of the windshield frame directly on the fiberglass cowl or gap it? If so, how much gap?

If you leave a 1/4" or 3/8" gap between the cowl and windshield frame it really cuts down on turbulence in the cockpit.
